From winning a season of
Comedy Circus together to appearing in a special episode of Comedy Nights with
Kapil, TV actress Shweta Tiwari and stand-up comedian Kapil Sharma share a
great friendship in real-life.
But despite of all this
facts, Shweta chose to be a part of Sunil Grover's show. What made her do this?
Read on to know more. The actress, says she was offered both the shows at the
same time but she chose to be a part of Sunil Grover's 'Mad In India'.
"I was offered both
Comedy Nights with Kapil and Sunil's Mad In India together. Both the makers
told me about my characters in their respective shows and left it over to me to
take a call. I felt that Kapil's show and characters are already hit and have
made their place. The characters in Comedy Nights with Kapil are doing really
well. I was not sure how well a new character would do if it's brought in. But
here in Mad In India, I was not only getting to play an interesting character
of Katrina Mishra but the show was also new and I told the makers of Comedy
Nights.. about my decision," says the actress who plays a Bhojpuri actress
in Mad In India.
Shweta, says that there is
no problem with Kapil and her and he is absolutely fine with her career choice,
"Kapil and the makers of Comedy Nights with Kapil are fine with my
decision. In fact they have sent me messages wishing all the best. They told me
that it is my career choice and they don't want me to force me for anything. I
think it was really sweet of Kapil and the makers of Comedy Nights.. to be so
understanding, " concludes Shweta.
