With just one week left for the 2017 IPL auction, the franchises have submitted their list of desired players after which the number of players to go under the hammer have come down to 351 from the original number of 799. The final list contains 122 international players including 6 names from associate countries out of which 5 are from Afghanistan. Along with them, 23 capped Indian players will also enter the auction with fast bowler Sudeep Tyagi being the only Indian international removed from the original list. The list of uncapped players has been reduced to 229 from 639 with franchises unlikely to spend too much money on them as this will be the 10th edition of the league after which there will be a juggling of teams and most players will once again go back to the auctions. The next season will also see the return of former champions and now defunct teams of Chennai Super kings and Rajasthan Royals.
