Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections 2017 25 per cent voting till 11 am in Ghaziabad

Polling began in 73 constituencies of Uttar Pradesh’s western region on Saturday morning in which an estimated 2.6 crore people are expected to caste their votes. This will also kickstart the Assembly elections in the state which will be held in seven phases. The results will be announced on March 11. 12:15 pm: Voting percentages have come from Ghaziabad  and Baghpat

25.71% polling in Ghaziabad till 11 am
26% polling in Baghpat till 11 am
11:55 am: 29% voting in Shamli till 11 am
10:25 am: Gagan Som, brother of BJP candidate Sangeet Som, has been detained by police after he carried a pistol inside a polling booth.
10:20 am: 10.56% voting registered till 9 am in the first phase of polls.
9:55 am: 15% voting in Muzaffarnagar till 9 am, reports ANI
9:31 am: The first polling figures have come in from Aligarh (10.5%) and Bulandshahr (12%) till 9 am.
